Our seva

Since 1984, for the ashram family: the students, elders and sevaks who live at the ashram.

Hostel children of the ashram with their caretakers

01 · Home and schooling for the hostel's children

Students' hostel

The ashram runs separate hostels for boys and girls. The students who live there receive school education, values, computer training and practice in bhajan.

Gurudev Maharaj's wish was that they grow into responsible citizens.

02 · Care and dignity for the old-age home's elders

Old-age home

Elders with no one to support them live at the ashram and are cared for as family: meals, shelter, health check-ups and the company of bhajan and satsang.

Gurudev Maharaj himself took the ashram's elders to Parli for eye check-ups; he did so on the last day of his life.

Check-up and treatment camps are held at the ashram for the elders who live there, the hostel's students and the sevaks.

In September 2026 the ashram held a diagnosis and homeopathic treatment camp.

05 · Harmonium, tabla, taal and the bhajan tradition

Music & bhajan

Gurudev Maharaj's khanjiri bhajan tradition is alive at the ashram. The hostel's students learn harmonium, tabla and taal, and the ashram family holds bhajan and satsang regularly.

His bhajans are kept in the books Gurubodh Anubhav Bhajanavali and Anubhav Prasad Bhajanavali.

06 · The Gramgeeta's ideas and freedom from addiction

Gramgeeta & freedom from addiction

Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj's Gramgeeta is the ashram's foundation. Gurudev Maharaj carried it from village to village through his bhajans.

Today the same ideas are lived out in the ashram family's life.

07 · The women of the ashram: taking part, standing on their own

Women's empowerment

From the very first years, the women of the ashram family have done much of its farming, shramdaan and seva.

Farming, care for the cows, the kitchen and bhajan: they take part in every part of ashram life with confidence.

08 · From barren land to a green campus

Farming, cows & environment

The ashram's once-barren land is green today. The ashram family farms the land, cares for the cows and plants trees.

This farming is the root of the ashram's annadan and self-reliance.
