Music & bhajan
The khanjiri bhajan tradition, passed on to the ashram's children
Why this seva
Music & bhajan: how it began, and today
Since he first heard Rashtrasant's khanjiri in 1962, the khanjiri never left Gurudev Maharaj's hands. The tradition is alive at the ashram: the hostel's students learn harmonium, tabla and taal, and the ashram family holds bhajan and satsang regularly.
His bhajans are kept in the books Gurubodh Anubhav Bhajanavali and Anubhav Prasad Bhajanavali (2016). Many of his abhangs and bhajans are still unpublished.

About the ashram
An ashram family that walks in Gurudev Maharaj's way
The Akhil Bharatiya Gurudas Seva Ashram is one family: the elders who live at the ashram, the students in its hostel and its sevaks. Shri Sant Gurudev Maharaj founded it in 1984 on his own 14 acres, on the thought of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj's Gramgeeta.
His ideal was a simple life ‘until everyone has food, clothing and shelter’. Every seva of the ashram still follows the way he laid down, and your help reaches this same ashram family.
